Topographic Data

Topological Maps

Topological maps, also known as topographic maps, provide detailed visual representations of both natural and human-made features. These include roads, rivers, buildings, vegetation, elevation contours, and key landscape features. They are crucial for route planning, land assessment, outdoor recreation, and a variety of geospatial analyses.

The CDNGI Geoportal offers a range of topological map tiles covering South Africa, made available in both digital and printable formats. These maps are maintained using updated cartographic standards and accurate geospatial references.

Streets Data

To enhance the usefulness of our topological datasets, we also provide access to the latest streets data for the Cape Town study area. This includes up-to-date street names, classifications, and alignments that complement the base topographic features, ensuring users have access to a complete and navigable spatial dataset.

You can view and explore the topological map sheets using the Interactive Map or download specific map sheets and streets metadata from the Metadata Catalogue.
